He asks:

What does the world reveal about the Fall?

What remains of the original divine order?

How does visible creation point back to the lost unity between man and God?

How can the human heart become capable of reading the world correctly?

A. The world as a veiled text after the Fall

In Martinist thought, man is in a condition of separation or exile from original divine unity.
Therefore the world is not only a revelation—it is also a veil, a field of symbols whose meaning has become obscured.

So Liber Mundi in a Martinist key means:

the world still speaks of God

but it speaks through broken signs

the human being, also fallen, cannot read it clearly without inner purification

the true reading of the world depends on inner illumination

This is a major Martinist distinction:

The world is a book, yes—but fallen man misreads it unless the heart is awakened.

B. Nature as a mirror of reintegration

For Martinism, everything in creation may become a sign of the soul’s journey:

descent into matter

imprisonment in form

suffering, purification, and return

reconciliation with the divine source

So natural and symbolic realities are not studied merely for occult knowledge, but as clues to reintegration.

The world says, in effect:

you came from a higher origin

you are not what you seem to be in your outward condition

your task is return, repair, reintegration

The inner book and the outer book

Saint-Martin especially tends to move the focus from external occult systems toward the interior path.

So in Martinism there is almost a pairing of books:

The outer world as symbol

The heart or soul as the place where that symbol is deciphered

The true Liber Mundi is not fully readable by intellect alone.
It must be read through:

conscience

inward prayer

purification

symbolic intuition

spiritual awakening

In that sense, Martinism says:

The world is a book, but the key to it lies in the regenerated inner man.

Liber Mundi = The fallen world as a veiled spiritual text Martinist use of Liber Mundi Martinism gives the phrase a more interior and initiatic emphasis.
