A Journey of Discovery
A two week journey filled with incredible experiences. Our international group included members from New Zealand, Australia, England, Scotland, Norway, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Nigeria, Poland, and Singapore.
After arriving at Cairo, our first inspiring moment was seeing the pyramids. Our tour included visits to the Giza Plateau, Sakkara, and the new Grand Egyptian Museum. We crouched in narrow passageways, in the Red and Step pyramid deep into ceremonial chambers. Paid a visit to the mystical peaceful Bent pyramid. We explored the old city of Cairo visiting an ancient mosque, a Coptic church and a synagogue. At Luxor, we visit Hatshepsut Mortuary Temple and the Valley of the Kings, admiring the beauty of hieroglyphs and the majesty of all ancient temples. Every temple and statue narrated the history and tells a story of the rituals performed within its sanctuaries at the time.
Part of the journey included the Temple of Hathor at Dendera, the Temple of Seti I at Abydos and the Osirian with its underground water canals, Karnak, Luxor Temple, an evening ride to the Horus Temple at Edfu on horse carts and the magnificent Ramses temple at Abu Simbel, as well as a boat ride to Philae Island to watch the sunrise at the Temple of Isis.
We also visited Tell el-Amarna and the Aten Temple of Akhenaten, culminating in a private ceremonious visit to the Great Pyramid in the King’s Chamber, between the Sphinx paws and at lake Qarun.
We enjoyed touristy fun like a Nile swim and cruise, a felucca ride, local papyrus art, carpet weaving, perfumery and spice shops and stone carving as well as exploring local markets.
The deep fellowship among our group made the journey unforgettable, reaffirming the strength of a Rosicrucian Order.
Egypt tour itinerary May 2025
Day 01 (Thursday 8th May 2025):
Arrival in Cairo.
Day 02 (Friday 9th May 2025):
Giza plateau in front of Khufu’s pyramid.
Journey into the Old Kingdom: Exploring Sakkara and Dahshur. Includes:
Visit to Red Pyramid at Dashour for a ceremony and external viewing of The Bent Pyramid. Visit to The Stepped Pyramid (and associated temple/courtyard) at Sakkara.
Visit to Imhotep Museum at Sakkara.
Day 03 (Saturday 10th May 2025):
Explore Old Cairo. Includes: Cop church service, St Sergi Church, synagogue, Amr Ibn El Aas Mosque,.
Abdull perfume palace
Visit to Grand Egyptian Museum
Flight from Cairo to Luxor.
Day 04 (Sunday 11th May 2025):
Explore Ancient Egyptian mortuary, burial and memorial sites on the West Bank.
Includes:
Visit to Hatshepsut Mortuary Temple with Meditation for Peace.
Visit to various available open tombs, in the Valley
of the Kings.

Day 05 (Monday 12th May 2025):
Explore Dendera and Abydos. Includes:
Visit to temple of Hathor at Dendera, including ceremonies.
Visit to Abydos temple of Seti 1 and the Osirion.

Day 06 (Tuesday 13th May 2025):
Visit to Temple of Karnak, (early morning, immediately after opening) for ceremony in Akh Menu (Constructed by Thutmose III), then private ceremony in sanctuary of Memphis triad of Ptah, Sekhmet and Nefertum. Hatshepsut obelisk, Chapelle Rouge.
Evening visit and ceremony in temple of Horus at Edfu. Ride on caleches to get there.
Overnight on Nile cruise ship.
Day 07 (Wednesday 14th May 2025):
Visit to Temple of Horus the Elder and Sobek at Kom Ombo.
Reflection in front of picture of Pharaoh being purified by Thoth and Horus.
Sailing adventure – Explore Aswan’s splendours. Includes:

Boat ride to beach on the Nile.
