Landscapes and Culture

Entertainment during dinner.
Egyptian Whirling Dervishes, known as tanoura, are a vibrant and colorful version of the traditional Sufi dance, often performed for theatrical and folkloric purposes, though it remains rooted in spiritual ritual. The dancers spin continuously, with one hand extended to the sky to receive divine blessing and the other to the earth to transfer it to the public. The Egyptian style is known for its use of brightly colored, often heavy skirts that can weigh up to 10 kg, and sometimes features dancers with lights attached to their skirts for a dazzling effect.

A Nubian Egypt felucca cruise is a trip on a traditional, wind-powered sailboat along the Nile River, offering a peaceful and scenic way to experience Egypt.
We were entertained with a Nubian performance.

We got to the Edfu temple and back to the Nile cruise ship close to midnight by traveling with a horse carriage.
