Credit / Source: My name is Kathleen Kerkhoff. I was born to Susan Hassal on 06 July 1984 in Johannesburg. I was given up for adoption immediately. This photo was given to my adoptive parents along with a letter and poem Susan had written for me, unfortunately Child Welfare heavily redacted the letter, so I am unable to name my biological father. I was named and registered as Samantha Leigh Hassal by Susan, but was renamed by my adoptive family. I met IMS Hassal, Susan's father 2 years before his death and have contact with her half-sister Sarah, and Sarah's 2 kids. Elizabeth (Susan's mother) unfortunately passed away before I was able to meet her.
